Dr. Prager is an experienced orthopedic surgeon who has practiced in Texas since finishing his training. His undergraduate degree was obtained at the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his B.S. in the Honors program of Biology. As a native of New Jersey, Dr. Prager attended medical school at New York Medical College. While at medical school Dr. Prager became interested in orthopedics and completed his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit. Always having an interest in sports, Dr. Prager then received a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Saint Frances Medical Center of the University of Illinois. He also completed an A-O Trauma fellowship at Queens University Medical Centre in Nottingham, England. Dr. Prager is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Allied Health.
Since 1985, Dr. Prager has practiced in the DFW metroplex. He has been a neutral physician for the NFL for the past 13 years examining players from numerous teams including the Dallas Cowboys. Dr. Prager has been team physician for several high school football teams as well as the Texas Tornado Hockey team. He also has a special interest in football injuries and has published and presented at national meetings. One of Dr. Prager’s interests is minimally invasive surgery. He continues to pursue his studies in this area.
Recreational activities include tennis, skiing and staying fit.
Dr. Prager and his wife, Diane, have two children.
