Dr. Pedro Laredo specializes in minimally invasive hand surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, endoscopic cubital tunnel release, endoscopic pronator release, endoscopic trigger finger release and joint arthroscopic surgery. He is a pioneer in the treatment of wrist pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Laredo helped n the development of the Stratus Endoscopic Release System, the most advanced technology for carpal tunnel release and cubital tunnel release. Dr. Laredo completed his hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at the Christine Kleinberg Institute. He is board-certified in General Surgery and Hand Surgery by the America Board of Surgery. Dr. Laredo is committed to improving the quality of care available to patients around the world and enjoys the opportunity to educate and train surgeons and surgical technicians.
Dr. Dustin Ray is a board certified hand and microvascular surgeon who was a Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Ray graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Earning a full tuition scholarship to Howard University College of Medicine, he finished among the top in his class. He then completed his general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital where he was awarded Intern of the Year and earned Resident of the Year honors as Chief Resident.
Dr. Dustin Ray completed his hand surgical fellowship at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, KY. During his fellowship, Dr. Ray assisted in numerous complex soft tissue reconstructive surgeries of the upper extremity. These included microsurgical free flaps, digit replantation and revascularizations. Following this intensive training to become a hand surgeon, he completed a course in Minimally Invasive Hand Surgery at Brown Hand Center in Houston, TX.
After performing over 1,000 hand surgeries in the United States, Dr. Ray performed the first endoscopic carpal tunnel procedure in Central America in 2012. In addition to being one of the top hand surgery specialists in the country, Dr. Dustin Ray is a Candidate Member of the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Aimee L. Schimizzi is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and upper extremity.
Dr. Schimizzi joined the Dallas Hand Center in October 2016. She has previously practiced in Corpus Christi, TX, Berkeley, CA, Phoenix, AZ, and Raleigh, NC. After training in Dallas in 2008, she always aspired to move back to DFW, and in 2016, that aspiration became a reality. Dr. Schimizzi is the newest addition to DHC.
Dr. Schimizzi grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, and she attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate education as well as her medical school education. After completing her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego, she pursued an additional year of training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery in New York City, completing her fellowship at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital C.V. Starr Hand Surgery Center (now known as the Roosevelt Hand to Shoulder Surgery Center). She also received additional training in pediatric and congenital hand conditions at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital here in Dallas.
Dr. Schimizzi has published scientific articles and book chapters in numerous, peer-reviewed orthopedic publications and texts. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
