Cindy Slaydon has over 36 years of significant healthcare experience hospitals, centers and health systems. She has a diverse background that includes roles as a clinician, a hospital executive, system executive, and consultant. In performance of her roles she has provided multiple facility operational oversight, facility assessment and acquisition, health system integration, project development, regulatory and quality systems management, operational turnarounds, and medical staff and governance coordination.
Prior to joining Physician Synergy Group, Mrs. Slaydon functioned as Chief Operations Officer and/or Chief Nursing Executive for hospitals and health systems with facilities ranging from 20 to 492 licensed beds. These facilities consisted of rural community, not for profit, and for profit systems including Tenet and Health Management Associates. She served as Senior Vice President for Clinical Operations and Development for two healthcare entities, the most recent being Texas Health Partners (THP), a for profit subsidiary of Texas Health Resources (THR). In this position, she facilitated clinical, quality, and operational integration between THP facilities and THR while developing green field projects from concept to operational start-up and regulatory adherence. In addition, she has provided assessment and guidance in acquisitions of existing hospitals, ambulatory diagnostic and surgical centers.
Her project management experience is extensive with the development of five green field acute care hospitals since 2003. Additionally, she worked collaboratively with the acquisition of two ambulatory diagnostic and surgical centers, two acute care licensed hospitals, and provided operational turn-around consulting for multiple facilities.
She began her career as a clinician in various acute care roles including critical care, emergency medicine, surgical services, and women’s and children areas, and progressed through various supervisory and management roles until reaching
executive level positions. This progression led to corporate and system roles. Mrs. Slaydon has a demonstrated background in meeting and exceeding all key performance indicators and goals including financial, operational, growth, quality, and service for the facilities she is associated with.
Mrs. Slaydon has been recognized as Who’s Who among Hospital Executives and currently holds Diplomat status with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mrs. Slaydon received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas in Tyler, Texas.
